Sarah is a state registered nurse (SRN) who trained at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital in Ghana. She qualified in 1985. She further trained as a State Registered midwife (SRM) (1987) and a state registered Public health nurse (SRPHN) (1993).

In Ghana, she worked in all levels levels of healthcare delivery, spanning various settings, including community-based initiatives. With her extensive and diverse background, she skillfully crafts unique and meaningful connections with individuals from various backgrounds and demographics, fostering powerful therapeutic interactions. She furthered her education in the University of Ghana Legon and obtained her first degree in Nursing and Psychology in 2002.

During her tenure in the UK, Sarah worked as a general nurse at St Thomas Hospital and St Georges Hospital. Additionally, she obtained a Postgraduate Diploma as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN). With over 38 years of rich experience, Sarah’s invaluable expertise is now brought to RAPHA. Throughout her clinical and academic journey, Sarah demonstrated an unwavering commitment to attaining the highest standards in practice teaching, nurse prescribing, and leadership, sparing no time or expense along the way.

Currently serving as a Nurse Manager in a health and social care facility, she possesses the rare qualities needed to cater to the unique needs of the elderly: gentleness, resilience, firmness, and an unwavering passion for her profession. Challenges serve as her motivation, and Sarah’s diverse range of experiences equips her to tackle any obstacle while also making meaningful contributions to society.
